These traditional Romanian pastries are made only once a year, on March 9th to celebrate the Forty Martyrs of Sebaste. The pastries are made from a yeast dough  baked in the shape of an eight, soaked in a delicious citrus vanilla syrup, and glazed with honey and walnuts
